Bio Park

Bio Parque is a zoo located in a wooded park measuring 55,000 square meters at the back of Quinta da Boa Vista in the São Cristóvão neighbourhood.

The institution has, among its main objectives, the development of environmental education activities, based on the animals in its collection, as a focus, fish, reptiles, birds and mammals.
 

In addition to species native to the Amazon Region, the Pantanal and the Brazilian Cerrado, animals from other countries, such as the rhinoceros and the American brown bear, also stand out.

The park is well structured, organized and inviting. its collection currently has 1,300 animals.  Altogether there are 350 species, many of them rare and endangered de extinction, such as a Blue Arara, a harpy, o broad-snouted alligator, o Guara wolf, o golden-faced lion tamarin, o giant anteater  and o King vulture.

A tour that will make the visitor observe numerous species of animals, each one of a beauty and rarity making it increasingly interesting to analyze.
