Parque Lage
Henrique Lage, owner of the establishment in 1940 had to dispose of part of his assets. In order to make the Park survive, it was listed as historical and artistic heritage.
Before the loss of the establishment, Gabriela Besanzoni, wife of Henrique Lage, organized magnificent parties in which the high class of Rio society figured.
Today Parque Lage is part of the Tijuca National Park, under the administration of the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation.
