Pico da Tijuca trail
Pico reaches its 1,022m altitude, it is inside the Tijuca National Park which is a Brazilian conservation unit with full protection.
Within the park there are tourist attractions such as trails, caves and waterfalls, the famous Pedra da Gávea, and the Corcovado postcard.
From the top of the peak you will have a 360º view of the city of Rio de Janeiro, it is the highest mountain in the Tijuca Forest.
A good place to observe the beauty of the city as well as doing a great workout.

This tour is recommended for those who enjoy trails and walks, you will see a beautiful landscape beyond the path is well signposted and you have to register your name before starting.
The trail follows the contours of the hills and is shaded by trees for most of the route.
You will need to climb 117 steps carved into the rock with 120 meters of iron chain as a handrail that will appear at the very end of the route.
